Disabled access and facilities upgrades in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

We recently completed a job for a Mrs Lovegrove in Abingdon - Oxfordshire, who was struggling with mobility and had to rely on a wheelchair to get around her home.

Unfortunately, like most houses her's just wasn't set up for wheelchair users. Firstly, the doorways were just too narrow so our team widened them all and removed some internal walls to make the bedrooms much more open too.

We also removed the living-room window a, cutting out the brickwork and installing a level-access patio door set. We then removed the existing patio and raised up a new one to meet the internal floor height.

We then fitted hand rails and created a ramp from the patio down to the lower level of the garden and enlarged the garden gate and put in a new boundry fence.

Finally, our team removed the upstairs toilet and fitted a fully automatic Gerberit toilet, at a height to suit the customer and with a remote control as well! Every area where our team had undertaken works was fully redecorated to a high standard.

Mrs Lovegrove was thrilled with the final results - her home now being completely transformed and mobility around the property restored to her. She was particularly happy to find one friendly and professional company such as ours who could undertaken all aspects of the job, meaning she didn't have large numbers of strangers in her home.
